On November 30, 2021, Cooperation Development Institute (CDI) organized the fourth B2B (business-to-business) meeting on “Maximizing the value of the real estate through the Certificate of Energy Performance (CPE)” in the framework of the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro programme project ENEA – Energy Efficiency living lab – implemented by CDI Albania in cooperation with CE.F.A.S and Expeditio.
This meeting aimed to present the recent introduction of the certification of energy performance in buildings in Albania, as a new standard that will help to increase real estate value and reach the energy target in sustainability and better protection of the environment, meeting the European standards for candidate countries like Albania.
The meeting took place at the premises of Tirana Business University (TBU), and it hosted a large number of different stakeholders, mainly from the business sector, as well as experts of the field, students, academics, etc.
The event was initially greeted by Mr.Artan HOXHA, General Administrator at TBU, who expressed his willingness in support of the development of these activities as a priority in the institution’s approach to cooperate with all business actors and Ms.Inva NELA, Project Manager, CDI/ENEA Project Coordinator, presented the key programme working areas of CDI and the main objectives of “ENEA” project.
Further, key discussions were held by executives and representatives of leading companies in the energy sector, such as Ms. Anisa ABAZAJ from “Zero Energji”, who brought a detailed presentation reflecting many practical cases developed by her company.
Likewise, Ms.Kostandina DHEFTO from “CEA Studio”, brought a detailed presentation of the certification process which aroused much interest among the attendees, while Ms. Megi LULI, Office Manager at MC Inerte and Nova Construction, presented the long and extensive experience of both companies, further complements the overall framework.
The panel discussion continued with the presentation of Mr. Afrim OSMANI from “The SunSet – Luxury Real Estate”, who thanks to extensive experience and dynamic follow-up of related sector developments, complemented the framework, especially from the point of view of management and real estate sector.
In conclusion, Mr. Lorenc GORDANI, Lecturer and Advisor on Energy Issues, further specified the main aspects and the immense possibilities that this innovation opens as well as the need for an integrated approach.
The presentations that opened an extensive discussion with the business community reflected the challenges that many businesses in this sector face in their work. The presentations were further accompanied by an open and extensive discussion with the business community of Montenegro, Kosovo, and other experts in the field.
