Communication and Events Intern

The Cooperation and Development Institute in Albania is recruiting an intern for 3 months to join and support the Communication team. The internship is paid, full time and based at CDI’s office in Tirana.

CDI’s offers an interesting and challenging period of learning and working experience, with the opportunity to gain specific knowledge on communication and outreach related to EU and Connectivity and Youth and Society programmes.

Cooperation and Development Institute (CDI) is a Think Tank based in Tirana – Albania. Established in 2000, CDI is a politically independent, not for profit and non-governmental organization. Our mission is to improve the quality of public policy with open and fact-based research, analysis, inclusive debate, and targeted outreach and advocacy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES – Support CDI’s Communication team in:

  • Creating events content on CDI’s website and social media.
  • Working with event management tools and audience databases.
  • Helping with logistical practicalities (catering, reception, contacts with service providers, etc.).
  • Supporting social media outreach and event promotion, especially in relation to the upcoming 9th edition of the Tirana Connectivity Forum.
  • Producing post-event outputs (photo, video editing).
  • Participating in the livestream production of CDI’s events.

PROFILE OF APPLICANTS

  • Academic background in communication/journalism, marketing, social sciences, administration and project management, or equivalent experience.
  • Available for three months, full-time, starting mid-August 2023.
  • At least six months of professional experience related to this vacancy’ requirements. 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES REQUIRED

  • Drafting and editing skills for texts targeting external audiences;
  • Able to research, collate, analyse and summarise information;
  • Excellent written and oral English.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of audio and video production.
  • Capacity to work with people from different social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Good organisation and time-management.
  • Curiosity and adaptability.
