Channellig SEE6 Civil Society contribution to the Common Regional Market and Berlin Process

Project duration: 18 March 2024– 31 December 2025

Supported by: German Federal Foreign Office

Goal: To bring in and consolidate the engagement of SEE6 CSOs into the Berlin Process, by building up on the achievements of the 1st project.

Concretely it will:

  • Consolidate CSO contribution in CRM implementation through Outreach, Monitoring and Engagement;
  • Enhance CSO contribution to the SEE6 Energy Transition;
  • Ensure continuity and coherence between the yearly Western Balkans Summits; and, iv) Capacity building and networking in the South East Europe region for the Berlin Process.

The expected results of the project are to:

  • create & consolidate critical mass of knowledge on the importance of CRM for SEE6 convergence with EU, and a resilient network of societal actors supportive of the Berlin Process;
  • contribute to the creation of societal consent and bottom-up pressure for advancement in relevant CRM key areas, with additional attention to implementation, by-laws and eventual overlappings of BP with other regional initiatives, and with special focus to the energy transition;
  • increase the contribution of CSO to the implementation of CRM, and assure continuity in between two Berlin Process Summits;
  • concretely support good governance, reforms and regional cooperation in the region and scale up and enhance the contribution of the Berlin Process in Enlargement.
