Partnering with EESC

CDI has established a solid partnership with the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). CDI’s research is regularly cited in EESC positions and resolutions concerning the Western Balkans’ path toward EU integration. Drawing on its analytical expertise and extensive experience in reform monitoring and regional integration, CDI contributed to the drafting of the EESC Opinion on the “New Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.” CDI’s recommendations included establishing a Growth Plan scoreboard and inclusive country monitoring committees aimed at enhancing the Plan’s implementation, coordination and monitoring.
By actively engaging in CDI and EESC forums and workshops, both organizations play a key role in promoting good governance and socio-economic reforms, fostering an inclusive and effective implementation of the EU Growth Plan, an active participation of social and economic actors in the reform processes, and supporting the EU integration process.
