In the framework of the project “Leaving, landing, returning: yesterday, today, tomorrow” from September to November 2018, Cooperation and Development Institute in partnership with “Leonik Tomeo” High School organized several workshops with main topic migration. The students shared with each other personal and family stories related to this phenomenon of Albanian society and tried to identify the difference between these stories and the narrative used by media.
During these meetings, they brought several artefacts, photos and cards to convey their stories. Together with the CDI team, they are working to organize an exhibition aiming to articulate and reflect their perception of immigration and its consequences by demonstrating their perception on this topic. The students are excited by fact that this project will give them the opportunity to make more friends from our neighbor country, Italy, where is being implemented the same promotion of the culture of dialogue with ISS Pietro Sette High School’s youngsters in Bari on the theme of immigration, the common thematic of many human stories in Durrës and Bari.
