The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Albania, Guusje Korthals Altes, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which paves the way for the realization of the pilot project “Integrity Compliance: Setting the Example with advanced standards”. This innovative initiative aims to promote the integrity and implementation of international good governance practices in the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. The initiative is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented by the Cooperation and Development Institute. The main purpose is to provide an overview of the current state of affairs in the implementation of national policies and their respective accountability and guarantee procedures in the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, as well as to align the interventions suggested with the best national or international examples. In the capacity of the implementer, the Cooperation and Development Institute, in close cooperation with the MIE team, will implement and coordinate step by step all the activities envisaged in the framework of this cooperation, in order to provide a good practice, which is sustainable and applicable in Albania, and as such can be adopted and implemented in any other body of government and public administration.
