Tirana, 4 March 2025 | Albania is progressing on its pre-membership agenda, aiming to conclude technical negotiations by 2027 and achieve EU membership by 2030. The newcomer Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, directly supports the reforms and speeds up convergence with the EU. At the same time, this new EU financial instrument prepares Albania’s for its post-membership obligations, as well as for the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework 2028-2034.
Committed to fostering social actors’ engagement in the design and implementation of the Reform and Growth Facility (RGF), since 2023 CDI has been working with national and EU institutions on inclusiveness, transparency and good governance features of the Growth Plan.
As part of these efforts, CDI has signed a cooperation agreement with the Albanian State Agency for Strategic Planning and Aid Coordination to provide its expertise to the Reform and Growth Facility during implementation, contribute to its monitoring and outreach, and contribute to RGF good governance features of inclusiveness, transparency and efficiency.
