On 19.09.2014 in Tirana it was introduced the Repository for Public Policy created by CDI and implemented to Shtetiweb.org portal. The purpose of this repository is to increase the transparency of public action of the Albanian authorities, and to strengthen the cooperation between the government and civil society.
Speakers at the workshop included Holger TAUSCH, Head of Cooperation at the Switzerland Embassy, Yngve Engstrom, Head of Cooperation of the EU Delegation in Albania, Oriana Arapi, Director of Strategic Planning Unit at the Council of Ministers, Prof. Adrian Civici, President of the European University of Tirana, and Ardian Hackaj, Director of Shtetiweb portal.
In the repository can be found in a unique place the national strategies, public policy documents, relevant legal basis, sectorial strategies, studies, assessments and state reforms in Albania. Finding, digitization, classification and thematic linking of these documents will contribute to preserving the institutional memory of the Albanian state.
An added value of this repository to its creators of CDI will be the contribution that researchers, academics and students will provide by analyzing the documents and bringing conclusions, which contribute to improve and increase the effectiveness in designing, implementing and evaluating of policies by today’s policymakers.
