Statute and structures of local government bodies

Donor: EU Delegation to Albania

General Objective: The project goal is the preparation of the Manual and the Statute of Local Government Units based on the best local government European experience, by specifically focusing on the new administration concepts and procedures in line with Law no. 8652 and the European Charter of Local Autonomy.

The expected results are:

Providing the leading positions in the local government bodies with the skills needed for the development of the Local Government bodies Statute in line with the legislation in force;
Providing the leading positions in the local government bodies with the necessary knowledge for the implementation of some new competencies provided to them through Law no. 8652, in particular in relation to regional development planning, ensuring the necessary access and participation of all local stakeholders;
Promoting the leading/management level of the local management bodies.
